The Whiteheadi Chinese Perch is a streamlined East Asian predator built for precision. A mottled olive-to-bronze body patterned with irregular dark barring provides perfect camouflage among rock and submerged wood. Native to cool, flowing river systems in China, Siniperca whiteheadi is a true ambush hunter. It holds motionless in structure or along current breaks, blending into its surroundings before launching forward with explosive acceleration. Unlike chaotic predators, this species is calculated — conserving energy until the exact moment it needs it.

Growing to 16–24+ inches, the Whiteheadi Chinese Perch is best suited for experienced keepers with large, temperature-controlled systems. It thrives in cooler water and well-oxygenated environments.
