Sunlit armor with prehistoric instinct
The Albino Golden Marble Florida Gar takes one of North America’s most primitive predators and turns it into a glowing centerpiece. Instead of the typical olive camouflage, this albino morph displays creamy gold to pale ivory tones accented by soft marbling along the body and fins. Under strong lighting, the scales shimmer with a warm metallic glow, highlighting the armored plating and elongated snout packed with needle-like teeth.
Native to slow rivers, swamps, and marsh systems of the southeastern United States, Lepisosteus platyrhincus is a classic ambush predator. It hovers near the surface or along structure, motionless and watchful, before striking with sudden speed. Like other gars, it possesses a vascular swim bladder that allows it to gulp air — a trait that has remained unchanged for millions of years.
Growing to 24–36+ inches, the Albino Golden Marble Florida Gar is best suited for serious large-tank or indoor pond setups. Compared to larger gar species, Florida gars remain more manageable while still delivering full prehistoric presence.
