Rare contrast. Ultimate freshwater royalty.
The Albino Black Diamond Stingray is one of the rarest and most visually striking freshwater rays in the world. This morph takes the iconic Black Diamond pattern β normally bold white spotting over a jet-black disc β and transforms it into a luminous albino masterpiece. The deep black base is replaced with creamy ivory to golden tones, while the contrasting pattern glows in high definition across the entire disc. Under proper lighting, the ray appears almost illuminated from within.
Native to the Xingu River basin in Brazil, Potamotrygon leopoldi is known for its symmetrical spotting and refined disc shape. The albino variation elevates this already elite species into true collector status. As it glides across the substrate, the flowing movement of its disc and tail creates an effortless, hypnotic display.
Reaching 18β24+ inches disc diameter (larger with proper care), this is a high-end, advanced-level species suited for serious aquarists with large systems and stable conditions.
