Precision pattern with Amazon elegance
The Red Spotted Leopard Discus is a classic high-grade strain prized for its dense red spotting scattered across a clean base color. Each fish carries a unique constellation of vivid red dots layered over soft cream, orange, or light turquoise undertones. When mature and properly conditioned, the red intensifies dramatically, creating a sharp contrast that makes the pattern appear almost three-dimensional.
Discus originate from calm Amazon floodplains, and that composed behavior remains. The Red Spotted Leopard moves slowly and deliberately, hovering before gliding forward in smooth, synchronized motion when kept in groups. Rather than chaos, they bring controlled elegance to a display tank.
Reaching 6β8 inches, they are social cichlids that thrive in groups and quickly become aware of feeding routines. Once settled, they gather at the front glass calmly, creating a true show-tank presence.
