Bulgarian Green Seal Point Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare sp.)
The Bulgarian Green Seal Point Angelfish is a rare and highly sought-after strain of Pterophyllum scalare, admired for its iridescent green sheen and distinctive “seal point” patterning. This variety features a luminous, pale body contrasted by darker shading along the face, fins, and edges—creating a subtle yet striking gradient effect that intensifies under proper lighting.
Originating from specialized European breeding programs, this angelfish combines refined coloration with the classic angelfish form—tall, laterally compressed bodies and elegant, flowing fins. The green iridescence gives it a unique, almost metallic glow that shifts depending on angle and light, making it a standout in any high-end freshwater setup.
Like all angelfish, this variety carries semi-aggressive cichlid traits and a natural predatory instinct, especially toward smaller tank inhabitants.
