Albino Red Back Manacapuru Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)
The Albino Red Back Manacapuru Angelfish is a rare and visually striking variant of Pterophyllum scalare, combining the signature “red back” trait of the Manacapuru lineage with the luminous qualities of albino genetics. This fish features a clean white to pale translucent body, bright red eyes, and a vivid orange-red blush across the upper back and dorsal area, creating a bold yet refined contrast.
Originating from Manacapuru-region bloodlines in Brazil, this strain is prized for its natural elegance and enhanced coloration. The albino trait amplifies the brightness of the red/orange pigment, making it stand out even more under aquarium lighting. With its tall body and flowing fins, it delivers both presence and movement as a true centerpiece fish.
Like all angelfish, this variety is semi-aggressive with a natural hierarchy and mild predatory instincts, especially toward smaller tank inhabitants.
