Albino Golden Marble Florida Gar (Lepisosteus platyrhincus)

This is a rare color morph. This is a newer color morph.  The eyes are pink and the body develops into a golden yellow with black marbling. Gars are relatively passive, seemingly sluggish solitary fish, but voracious ambush predators. They are opportunistic night predators and are primarily piscivores, but they will also ambush and eat water fowl and small mammals that may be floating on the surface.
