This wild-caught Angelfish from the Rio Nanay in Peru resembles the Altum angel from Columbia. It is easier to keep and the price is more affordable.
These freshwater angels can reach up to a full length of 6 inches and sometimes even grow longer dorsal fins in the wild as the males tend to be larger than females. They have a wide variety towards their diet that can consist of flakes, small pieces of shrimp, tilapia, bloodworms, small fish, and even pick on plants from time to time. Wild angels have a yellow-toned head with silver bodies that glow iridescent, shining colors of blue and green with black vertical strips along the body with red rims around the eyes.
