BARBS

Barb Fish Collection

Our Barb Collection features some of the most active, colorful, and energetic schooling fish in the freshwater hobby. Known for their constant movement and bold patterns, barbs bring life and excitement to any aquarium.

Native to rivers and streams across Asia and Africa, barbs come in a wide variety of sizes and colorsβ€”from small, vibrant nano species to larger, more aggressive varieties. Their fast-paced swimming and tight schooling behavior make them perfect for hobbyists looking to create a dynamic, high-energy display.

At Predatory Fins, we focus on offering healthy, high-quality barbs, including both popular favorites and harder-to-find species. Whether you're building a lively community tank or a more aggressive setup, barbs add movement, color, and personality.

Why Choose Barbs

  • Extremely active and engaging schooling fish
  • Bright colors and bold patterns
  • Wide range of species and sizes
  • Great for adding movement to your aquarium

Care Overview

Barbs are generally hardy and adaptable but thrive best in groups of 5 or more to reduce aggression and encourage natural schooling behavior. They prefer well-maintained aquariums with open swimming space and moderate flow.

Some species can be fin nippers, so tank mates should be selected carefullyβ€”avoid slow-moving or long-finned fish.

Perfect For

  • Community aquariums
  • Active, high-energy tank setups
  • Beginner to intermediate hobbyists
  • Schooling fish displays
