Our Axolotl Collection features one of the most unique and captivating aquatic species in the world. Known for their external feathery gills, wide “smiling” faces, and almost alien-like appearance, axolotls are unlike anything else in the freshwater hobby.
Native to the ancient lake systems of Mexico, axolotls (Ambystoma mexicanum) are fully aquatic salamanders that retain their juvenile features throughout their entire life—a rare trait known as neoteny. Combined with their ability to regenerate limbs and tissues, they are truly one of nature’s most fascinating creatures.
At Predatory Fins, we offer healthy, high-quality axolotls, including a variety of sought-after color morphs—from classic wild types to vibrant leucistic, albino, and specialty variations. Each one brings personality, curiosity, and a completely different vibe compared to traditional fish.
